Role overview

As a core member of the Procure-to-Pay team, the Travel & Expense Analyst will lead all aspects of (1) CarGurus' Corporate Card Program, (2) travel support, (3) expense report processing, and (4) reconciliation of corporate card spend. This person will also partner closely with our Procurement Manager & our Accounts Payable Supervisor in defining the future state of Travel at CarGurus.

What you'll do
  • Support Company travel globally;
  • Work directly with CarGurus Travel Management Company;
  • Review expense reports in accordance with Company policy;
  • Develop and maintain travel reporting;
  • Review Company Travel Policy annually;
  • Identify & review opportunity for cost savings;
  • Perform month-end balance reconciliations;
  • Perform analytical and ad hoc reporting as required;
  • Support global corporate card program;
  • Work with internal and external customers regarding account and expense inquiries;
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls per Company's policy;
  • Look for areas of improvement in execution to ensure efficient and effective processing of AP and T&E transactions;
  • Provide information for monthly key performance indicators.
What you'll bring
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a directly related professional area (i.e.: procurement, billing, accounts payable, accounting).
  • Deep knowledge of Travel Platforms, Accounts Payable, Procurement, and Travel & Expense systems and procedures;
  • Quick learner and self-starter who has the ability to work both independently, as well as part of a team;
  • Able to work in a paperless, fast-paced environment with strong interpersonal skills;
  • Accustomed to working with Quarterly and Annual timelines;
  • Technical understanding of Finance systems, preferably Concur and NetSuite;
  • Extensive experience supporting internal/external customers/suppliers;
  • Demonstrates strong understanding of accounting fundamentals;
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Meticulous and thorough while maintaining a high level of accuracy;
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Most important Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
