Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist - $2,724 per week

Job Description

Provide quality patient care to all patients within the medical imaging department.
Perform high quality images and exams on patients while maintaining sensitivity to patient needs.
Assist physicians in performing a variety of highly specialized Cardiovascular procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterization, pacemaker/defibrillator implantation, intra-aortic balloon pump operation (IABP), and electrophysiology studies.
Perform imaging procedures, providing safety for self, patients and all other individuals.
Practice all rules and regulations pertaining to radiation safety, reducing personal and patient exposure to 'as low as reasonably achievable' (ALARA).
Produce quality images in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
Provide information and instruction to patient and/or family regarding the procedure and respond to their physical and emotional needs.
Facilitate smooth patient flow, scheduling and optimal use of equipment/resources.
Communicate in writing and verbally with all physicians, imaging personnel, students and hospital staff in facilitating the continuum of care.
Perform IV starts and contrast administration as required.

Ability to provide on-call coverage outside of standard scheduled hours per department and/or facility policy.

Floating may be required to any Centura location within sixty (60) miles of the original assignment location or Centura-identified 'float zone'.
Float assignments may include duties outside of original assignment job requirements in accordance with Centura policy.
