The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as Treasury and Payroll Accounting Specialist. This is a great opportunity for a strong accounting professional who is ready to take the next step in their career. This full-time position reports to the Accounting Manager and works closely with the Manager of the People team on payroll-related responsibilities. As part of a growing organization, you will have the ability to participate in a broad range of accounting and reporting duties.
You will contribute to the Treasury team by managing high volume transactions daily including credit card and ACH chargebacks, large data sets including bank deposits and other transactions, credit cards, ACH, VCC and various other transaction types. The successful candidate will be adaptable and thrive in a fast-paced environment while consistently maintaining the highest attention to detail.
What You Will Do:
  • Record daily bank activity with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Investigate and address transaction and payment exceptions in a timely manner.
  • Communicate and follow up with external clients regarding payment information and discrepancies.
  • Monitor online banking fraud filter activity.
  • Support other team members by providing backup on tasks and researching variances.
  • Assist with Accounts Receivable process, patient and insurance refund payments and reconciliation.
  • Payroll Review and approval, PTO, Commuter, Bonus, Commission calculations.
  • Post journal entries and reconcile all payroll transactions.
  • Prepare standard operating procedures documentation of treasury tasks and update payroll review procedures as needed.
  • Research and resolve variances between banking transactions and system data/reports.
  • Apply voids in system and work with insurance remittance team to follow up on discrepancies.

What You Will Bring:
  • 1 - 2 years of accounting experience; equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is preferred.
  • Experience working in financial software systems; Sage Intacct experience a plus.
  • Technical proficiency using Excel such as pivot tables and formulas.
  • High degree of accuracy and excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong reconciling skills and ability to independently follow up to resolve variances.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Team player, dependable and able to work independently and under time constraints.

Compensation: $50,000 - $55,000 range
