The Customer Experience team is a small team with an outsized impact at Mozilla. We’re responsible for supporting Mozilla’s family of products including Firefox, Pocket, Mozilla VPN, and more. Our team is responsible for Mozilla’s support platform (SUMO), which hosts our knowledge base and is home to a global community of hardworking volunteers who spend their time answering user questions and writing and localizing knowledge base articles into more than 50 languages. We partner with teams across Mozilla to support initiatives large and small, and share valuable insights we earn from our support interactions to help improve our products and services.

  • Lead the design explorations for our support website, working closely with our Customer Experience team to identify and explore solutions to improve support journeys overall.
  • Run research and user testing projects to validate assumptions and make informed decisions
  • Create designs for support journeys that are specific to individual products or customer contact reasons
  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that effectively communicate design ideas and concepts.
  • Follow existing Mozilla design systems and style guides to ensure consistency across all Mozilla surfaces
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies.

What you already have:
  • Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role.
  • Strong portfolio of design projects that demonstrate expertise in user-centered design principles.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
  • Understanding of front-end development languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
  • Experience in support, customer experience, and research is a plus.
