Unannounced Project Engine Lead Engineer

As a Lead Engineer you will support our team by working on the systems that enable us to release our game in a regular cadence across all our supported platforms. This work includes things such as automation, anti-cheat, developer tooling, game patching, and platform specific work. You will guide and mentor engineers in the engineering culture, technology, and best practices that enable us to build great games. If you enjoy people management as much as solving a technical challenge, this role is for you.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage engineers, providing support, mentorship, constructive feedback, and career development guidance
• Write and maintain production-quality C++
• Build, extend, and repair systems and platform code in our proprietary game engine
• Collaborate daily with your team to craft robust, performant, and maintainable code
• Help translate team goals into actionable plans

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Willingness to be part of a “we” culture. You work well with others to reach common goals— team fit and culture are especially important to us
• Experience leading teams developing complex products with high cross-team dependencies
• Experience programming in C++
• Effectively write clear, concise, and accurate technical communications, with the ability to summarize complex topics and achieve alignment across multiple teams

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS

• Familiar with agile software development (e.g. scrum, kanban, etc.)
• Familiar with modern development practices (e.g. automated testing)
• Familiar with anti-cheat methodologies
• Understanding of one or more modern console architectures or multi-platform systems
