Position Summary:
The Vendor Development Manager is responsible for growing the Pax8 line card, globally. They assist with vendor research, recruiting, evaluation, forecasting and acquisition.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Research, prospect, and respond to vendor
- Present the Pax8 Story and value prop to prospective vendors to gain buy-in and alignment; Negotiate business terms and market development funds (MDF) to achieve the best possible outcome for Pax8 and the vendor.
- Create vendor and product forecasts for Pax8 leadership.
- Serve as the subject matter expert to internal groups for product and vendor launches.
- Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts to gain product insights and feedback.
- Conduct product and technical evaluation of a vendor’s products and services.
- Document and maintain vendor acquisition tracking in Wrike.
Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:
- At least five (5) years of sales experience selling technical products
- At least three (3) years of account management experience working with managed service providers (MSPs) & vendors
- Strong sales acumen with proven track record of success.
- Deep understanding of how technology solves the problems of small or medium-sized businesses (SMB) who are supported by outsourced IT providers
- Business negotiation skills
- Strong technical acumen
- Ability to communicate effectively with executive management
- Ability to collaborate, build networks, and drive engagement across functional teams
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Required Education & Certifications:
- B.A./B.S. in related field or equivalent work experience
- Current technical certification in at least one of the Pax8 tech categories preferred
- Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $90,675 or more depending on experience
