Vice President, Engineering - Core Product

Reporting to the EVP of Core Engineering, the VP of Product Engineering will deliver a best in class experience to millions of Redditors who love Reddit and use it every day. You will work alongside tech and product leaders to set our technical strategy and direction, ensuring successful delivery. You will be accountable for building, growing, and mentoring a world-class team of engineers to help Reddit reach its goal of bringing community and belonging to everyone.

• Plan, develop, and deliver a core experience that brings joy to existing and future users
• Build and continuously improve your team with a focus on excellence in product engineering, scaled execution, 360 degree mgmt, and  high degree of XFN collaboration
• Model our values to employees and users
• Represent the product engineering org in strategic conversations with peers, and executive leadership

• 15+ years professional experience, with 8+ years as a manager of managers
• Deep experience building high-scale consumer applications
• Experience running large teams working on systems 
• Technical experience with high scale and > 99.95 availability
• Deep business acumen with the ability to advocate at a high level
• Support your teams, helping them unlock and unblock
