About the job:
Upside is hiring an expert Sales leader to initially support the momentum of our Grocery vertical and then to help manage the launch of additional new retail verticals. This person will report to the VP of Grocery and also manage a small team of senior enterprise Grocery sellers. The VP of Enterprise Sales is responsible for leading their sales team to meet and exceed goals as we continue to grow new and existing partnerships with the largest U.S. enterprise grocers.
What you’ll do:
- Prove the ability to bring new products to market and scale the business
- Lead a Grocery sales team to achieve quarterly and annual sales and revenue results
- Hire, develop, coach, and manage a top-talent team of sellers
- Partner with Sales leadership and the executive team to build a sales strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets
- Establish and cultivate relationships with senior leadership and C-suite level executives of enterprise Grocery accounts to effectively and consultatively sell Upside
- Effectively work cross-functionally across the organization to shape Upside's solutions to meet client needs
- Accelerate sales velocity
- Be a champion for what your team needs to succeed
What you need:
- A mentality that thrives on dealing with ambiguity, operating in a high-growth environment, and solving complicated problems
- Experience consistently achieving and exceeding sales quotas
- 10+ years of sales management responsibilities
- Experience working with C-Suite executives on pricing, planning, finance, and marketing
- Established track record of success in building and scaling remote sales teams and processes from early stage through high growth
- Bachelor’s degree or higher required
- Ability to travel as needed
