About the job:
Upside is hiring an expert Sales leader to continue the momentum of our Grocery vertical while establishing defined strategies and processes for driving new business efforts. The Vice President of Enterprise Sales will work to establish goals and quotas with our Sales and Revenue Operations teams as we continue to grow new and existing partnerships with our largest U.S. enterprise grocers and further expand into new markets.
What youāll do:
- Own sales efforts and lead a team of highly-motivated sales professionals to develop and grow Upsideās Grocery vertical
- Partner with the VP of Grocery, Chief Revenue Officer, and executive leadership team to build a sales strategy for a rapidly growing sales team (both new business and post-sale) to achieve revenue and growth targets, including implementing effective sales strategies, pipeline management, and opportunity management
- Establish and cultivate relationships with senior leadership and C-suite level executives of enterprise Grocery accounts to effectively and consultatively sell to partners
- Collaborate with the Upside Sales, Product, and Marketing leadership teams to support go-to-market strategy, merchant launches, roadmaps, and key partnerships
- Drive the vertical to the next level through active account engagement and individual mentorship, with an eye on the top of the funnel and steadfast efforts to move accounts through the sales process efficiently
What you need:
- 7+ years of sales experience with 3+ years of people management responsibilities preferred; experience working with C-Suite executives on pricing, planning, finance, and marketing
- Bachelorās degree or higher required
- Start-up and SaaS platform experience is ideal. Retail or experience in the Grocery industry experience is a plus
- Established track record of success in building and scaling sales teams and processes from early stage through high growth, as well as achieving/exceeding sales quotas, CRM (Salesforce specifically) and pipeline management, sales org/structure, compensation plans, etc.
- Experience leading largely remote teams who sell to sophisticated, enterprise-level customers
- Ability to grow thoughtfully and quickly in the current vertical, with an appetite to expand your purview to new markets in the near future
- Confident, eloquent, and effective public-speaking skills
- Ability to travel 30% of the time
