Job Description
Onbe, a fast-growing FinTech, bringing innovation to a rapidly growing global marketplace, stands for “on behalf.” Because that’s exactly how we work: on behalf of our clients, as their comprehensive payments partner. We transform the way payments are imagined — as an opportunity for innovation, a source of insight to customers, and a way to connect with partners around the globe!
Summary: The Vice President of Partnerships will lead and scale our Partnerships sales team, focused on acquiring new channel partners ranging from financial institutions (FIs) to Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and beyond. The ideal candidate is a builder and coach, guiding growth into both established and new verticals for Onbe!
Responsibilities:
- Inspire and empower a highly-skilled sales team towards developing new relationships with FIs, ISVs and other channel relationships.
- Implement new vertical penetration strategies, including developing referral sources.
- Develop tactics that support the sales strategy, articulating a clear definition for success and creating goals that align with Onbe’s corporate business objectives.
- Equip the team with the sales processes and skills needed to exceed business and personal goals.
- Coach team to deliver impactful return on investments that focus on value creation for our partners and their end clients.
- Lead the sales team by demonstrating Onbe’s commercialization strategy, guiding Marketing and Account Management teams toward accelerating the growth of new partner relationships.
- Demonstrate our sales framework, maintaining a team pipeline centered around bringing value to our prospects and their buying journey.
- Maintain a data-driven culture that applies analytics to measure results and accurately forecast.
- Support a detailed transition of customer responsibility to the Account Management team following successful onboarding and commercialization.
- Collaborate to help guide marketing, demand generation, GTM, and product development.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years in consultative B2B sales, inclusive of 5+ years in channel sales.
- 5+ years of building and leading hard-working teams.
- History of closing sophisticated deals with long sales cycles.
- Have “General Manager” qualities, being able to look at the business as an owner and being comfortable with driving optimization in all business units.
- Exhibit intellectual curiosity and desire to learn and demonstrate past playbooks, yet be equally comfortable creating and fine-tuning new strategies.
- Strong executive presence with a proven track record to influence senior leaders internally and externally, including at the C level.
- Up to 20% of domestic travel may be required.
This position can be office-based, hybrid, or fully remote in the continental United States. Onbe’s employee base is mostly clustered in the Eastern and Central time zones, with offices in suburban Philadelphia and suburban Chicago. Some periodic travel will be required.
At Onbe, a diverse group of people, ideas, and perspectives are key to achieving phenomenal things. For over 25 years, our focus has remained on building a culture of openness and ingenuity, where employees come together to innovate and build disbursement solutions that make the lives of our clients and their consumers and workforces easier and better. Our definition of success includes celebrating differences and affirming belonging. To that end, we ask employees to come to Onbe as they are and contribute their diverse perspectives, identities, and experiences.
We believe that the recruiting phase is only the very beginning of diversity and inclusion. At Onbe, we’re constantly evolving the way we celebrate diversity every day and in everything we do. With several internal committees that are dedicated to mental and physical wellness, diversity, inclusion, and community outreach, we are committed to making a culture that is inclusive to all.
