The role:
The VP, People Operations will report to the Chief People Officer and lead the Operations function, which includes HR Technology, Policy & Procedures, People Processes and Total Rewards. This leader will create a People Operations function that enables an amazing employee experience. This person will partner closely with Executive Management, Finance, Legal, IT, external vendors and consultants to lead and influence all HR operations programs across the organization. This is an opportunity for an experienced professional to create and manage strategies that will further drive high-performance, positive business results, employee retention, and shareholder value.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of leadership, business acumen, a breadth of operations experience and Human Resource knowledge in building, maintaining, and refining infrastructure and technology that supports people and culture within an evolving growth company.
You can be located anywhere in the U.S., however, preference is for someone to be available to work Pacific, Mountain or Central Time Zones.
Responsibilities:
- The VP of People Operations (HR) role will join our People leadership team and report to the Chief People Officer
- This role is responsible for improving business results through changes to processes, systems, structure, and culture
- Build HR tech stack roadmap and implement technology that will improve the employee experience and automate manual processes
- Partner with People Team leadership to proactively provide insights and analysis that enables the Business Partners to drive solutions with the business functions
- Build and manage People team dashboards that leverages automation and evolved reporting
- Build collaborative relationships and provide consultative advice to People business partners on HR systems, policies and procedures
- Manage Payroll, Benefits, 401k Plan, Workers Comp and Total Compensation.
- Experience with Radford and McGlagan data
- Partner with Finance/Legal/Stock Admin for Equity Exercises/Reporting
- Develop/review relevant policies and procedures related to the People functions and support all audits across the operations team (SOX, Internal Audit, etc.) in partnership with the People Business Partner team
- Manages one direct report, Director of People Operations
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in an HR/People Operations environment with knowledge of total rewards, HR Tech stack, systems, and processes
- 8+ years of direct people management experience
- Degree in Organizational Behavior, Organizational Development, Human Resources or a related discipline
- Experience with HR system implementations and data migrations; other knowledge management systems
- Systems thinker with a “product manager mindset” with experience in HR systems
- Process and project management experience. Demonstrated experience leading global projects E2E with multiple stakeholders, driving implementations and leading change management
- Experience leading/ managing global business services across multiple operations and multiple countries
- Proven experience launching or driving implementations requiring change management communication.
- Strong process orientation; proven track record of continuous process improvement, project management and planning skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to deal with confidential information with diplomacy and discretion
- Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, flexibility, and excellence
- Experience developing and monitoring HR policies and compliance
- Passion for empowering employees to engage in our collaborative and inclusive culture
For residents of San Francisco/Bay Area, CA or New York, NY the annual salary range for this role is $200,000 - $250,000 + equity. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, bonus, and other factors.
