About the Position 

As the Vice President of Operations & Enterprise Project Management, you will be responsible for leading a team focused on operational rigor and excellence supported by our business processes and technology that extend the effectiveness of the G-P enterprise. Reporting into the Chief Operating Officer, VP of Operations & Enterprise Project Management will help drive our business through the next stage of growth. We're also looking for someone who is able to challenge effectively, and demonstrates a holistic, global, and strategic way of thinking. This role requires an action mindset, that is excited by the idea of quickly scaling globally, and thrives in a bold, fast-moving, transparent, values-driven organization. 

What you can expect to do: 

  • Be the master organizer at the Executive Leadership level; help increase operational rigor for ELT 
  • Ensure operational excellence across the Company and cross-functional teams 
  • Build, lead, and grow a cohesive, high-performing Enterprise Project Management Organization (EPMO), lead strategic enterprise level projects and connecting with Tech PMO and other functional PMO teams, and hold SSoT on all work that needs CEO’s and ELT’s visibility 
  •  Empower the operational and project management team with the leadership and resources they need to successfully complete operations initiatives
  • Continuously evaluate and analyze business operations, systems, processes, and performance data to identify new opportunities that will improve efficiency and effectiveness of the organization in alignment with strategic business goals. Measure and report on operational performance and develop plans to improve relevant key performance indicators
  • Manage critical elements of the overall operating rhythm including monthly goal & KPI/metrics reviews with all Vice Presidents and above across the company
  • Measure progress of internal goals and strategies through KPIs and OKRs. Manage KPIs/Dashboards needed at the ELT level for visibility into enterprise level metrics that matter.
  • Expertise in process design and scaled agile methodologies that help align entire organizations on a shared set of execution priorities and operationalize them.
  • Support COO and CEO in their day-to-day activities, guiding, directing and evaluating the work of management and executive team members.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to COO and the ELT and handle special projects and ad hoc requests as they arise; helping amplify efforts and function as a thought partner on diverse challenges
  • Impact team productivity of ELT by inducing velocity in decision-making, streamlining strategic initiatives, clarifying strategic goals, and communicating objectives across departments; Drive alignment across ELT, reduce friction
  • Communicate on behalf of ELT and providing critical strategic context to build stakeholder alignment. Handle cross-department communications related to high-priority projects
  • Manage rapid development and turnaround of presentations for internal, external and board meetings
  • Partner with other C-level and executives to accomplish short and long-term operational goals, effectively partnering on financial planning, strategy development and execution, and collaborating in cross-functional environments 

What will help you in this role: 

  • Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree a plus in Operations Management, or related field 
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2, CSP-SM (or similar project management certification) is required 
  • 15 years of direct project management experience with expertise in waterfall and agile methodologies 
  • Customer focus and empathy with track record of providing business operations services that deliver high quality user experiences
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, and an ability to use data and metrics to support assumptions, develop business cases, and complete root cause analyses
  • Bias for action, ability to deal with ambiguity, and natural perseverance to overcome obstacles and deliver outcomes when leading change

  • Professional and maintain the highest level of confidentiality and accuracy in work
  • Excellent at communicating complex ideas in a way that resonates across diverse groups of stakeholders, shapes strategic decisions, and generates momentum for meaningful change

  • Previous experience driving priorities, operational rhythm of the business, and collaboration cross-functionally in a complex, global organization with ease and fluidity, while driving and influencing results.

  • Your people leadership background and style should enable you to inspire and engage your organization to drive results with a sense of urgency within a collaborative, trusting and open team environment where everyone can operate as their true, authentic selves.
  • Experience leading an organization through a deep tech transformation
  • Ability to grasp a strategic, customer-minded view and handle complex technical issues in order to improve service levels, reduce costs, and drive scale

Compensation-

The annual gross base salary range for this position is $216,000 to $270,000. Actual compensation for this position may vary and will depend on multiple factors including relevant qualifications, experience, education and geographic location. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus dependent on various factors, including and without limitation, individual and company performance in addition to base salary.
