We are looking for an operations-savvy, results oriented HR leader. The Vice President, Talent Operations will work closely with market and corporate leadership to deliver talent support and execute on key business and people strategies. We seek a hands-on talent and employee relations leader and strategic business partner who will provide functional guidance and expertise and seamless service to stakeholders along with team leadership to the national Talent Operations and HRBP team.  

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a track record of building meaningful relationships across all levels of an organization. Well-developed interpersonal skills and a high degree of emotional intelligence and flexibility will be integral to success in this role. Ability to navigate within ambiguity, a service orientation, and a high level of humility are all requirements for successful assimilation into our collaborative, entrepreneurial culture.

How you can make a difference

  • Create and cultivate relationships with key senior stakeholders and proactively partner on critical business issues.
  • Manage all senior leadership ER issues in conjunction with the CHRO.
  • Leadership of the Talent Operations and HRBP team, providing coaching, counsel, and support to Team Members
  • Oversight of Talent M&A processes and workstreams providing key updates to the HR Leadership team.
  • Develop, review, and analyze human capital and talent data insights based on key HR metrics – Attrition, Employee Events, DE&I, and Engagement Survey data and provide frequent updates to CHRO, key stakeholders, and HR Partners.  
  • Partnering with the CHRO, proactively identifying opportunities for efficiency and improvement across the VillageMD enterprise and HR Team.
  • Partner with our Legal, Compliance, and Regulatory teams to develop and refine key employee policies and procedures.
  • Create, lead, enhance and administer talent programs and services including employee engagement, performance management, and training.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment regulations.
  • Provides stakeholder guidance and input on organization-wide, workforce planning, organization design, and succession planning.
  • Manage critical and time sensitive ad-hoc projects based on stakeholder and/or Talent Partner needs.

Experience to drive change

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • A minimum of twelve years of progressive HR experience; ideally within health care or a related field.
  • Deep Employee Relations experience with hands-on experience in directly managing complex issues.
  • Experience leading Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) teams.
  • Proven ability to execute on foundational HR work such as employee relations, system audits and various HR programs.
  • Desire to be a hands-on leader with a track record of “rolling up your sleeves” to drive desired outcomes.
  • Experience in employment regulations, legislation, and compliance.
  • Proven experience operating successfully within ambiguity; a results-oriented professional who can make sense of chaos to continually deliver desired results.
  • Demonstrated organizational skill and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and critical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel 30%

  • Willingness to dive into data despite experience level
