Video Editor, Memberships

Responsibilities:

• Utilize the Adobe Suite of software programs to edit Forbes video content as assigned by manager or video producers, including, but not limited to:
  • Live event panel conversations and presentations
  • Longform compilations and interviews
  • Archival clips
  • Sizzle reels, teasers and trailers
  • Marketing assets
• Assist in scripting and story editing as needed under the direction and per specifications of supervising Producer
• Sound mixing on all owned edits
• Color correction on all owned edits per specifications of the Creative Director of Video
• Deliver and/or upload final video assets as directed by supervising Producer
• Maintain quality, style and aesthetic standards as directed by EP, Video and Creative Director of Video
• Innovate and experiment on new editing techniques to enhance quality and style of Forbes Video
• Update and place motion graphics packages in Adobe After Effects as required
• On an as-needed basis, capture video content both remote (virtual) and in person
• Maintain journalistic and brand standards set by Forbes Media in all content
• Abide by all media management standards as directed by EP, Video

Requirements:

• 2-3+ years experience in video production in digital publishing, production company or agency/brand setting
• Highly skilled in using the Adobe Creative Suite, with a focus on Premiere Pro and After Effects
• Experience in sound design
• Exceptional video editing skills
• Ability to collaborate with all project stakeholders
• Ability to conceive and execute a clear creative and narrative vision
• Willingness to take constructive critiques and reach consensus on team-based projects
• Some level of video capture/on-set knowledge a plus
• Knowledge of live streaming production a big plus
• Event videography experience a plus
