Do you bring solid expertise establishing strategic commercial partnerships within clinical genomics, diagnostics or health data solutions? Have you driven execution on partnership programmes focused on revenue generation?
Bring your knowledge and passion to SOPHiA GENETICS as our new Senior Director / Vice President for Business Development.
To collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, we're looking to hire this colleague on hybrid basis within the New England Area for our Back Bay Boston office, or within proximity to our Rolle, Switzerland HQ. With full ownership of the Global BD Function, travel will be from 30% and include transatlantic trips (predominantly NORAM & Europe).

Your Mission
You oversee the formation of business partnerships, and the execution of strategies to maximize revenue and value. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you will lead a global team in Business Development and Alliance Management.
What you'll achieve:

  • Drive and further develop relationships with existing partners to maximize revenue and collaboration opportunity across the SOPHiA GENETICS ecosystem
  • Foster new strategic partnerships across all areas of the SOPHiA GENETICS ecosystem including Clinical & BioPharma, genomics and multimodal data analytics
  • Partner closely with the Executive Team to define strategic growth objectives, and translate into operational execution
  • Lead the business development and alliance management team in the delivery and execution of objectives and roadmaps


Requirements
The experience you bring:

  • 10+ years of experience in Business Development, in a commercialised background in sales, including large enterprise sale agreements.
  • Deep and direct experience in driving partnerships in a connected industry - Precision Medicine, Health data, Clinical Genomics, Diagnostics, Instrumentation or Reagents
  • Exposure to alliance management and search and evaluation is valuable.
  • You will autonomously own a global function, so previous experience managing global teams is a must.
