Job Description
Iterative Health is pioneering the use of artificial intelligence-based precision medicine in gastroenterology, with the aim of helping to optimize clinical trials investigating the treatment of IBD. We use advanced machine learning and computer vision to interpret endoscopic videos along with other types of data, helping clinicians better assess patients with potential GI problems. Ultimately, the company aims to establish more meaningful endpoints to serve as better predictors of both therapeutic response and disease outcomes.
Iterative Health is looking for an experienced, motivated and passionate individual to join our growing team as the Vice President of Clinical and Scientific Affairs.
What you'll be doing:
- Partner with the Chief Medical Officer to develop and execute the scientific strategy
- Manage a team of scientific project managers and biostatisticians
- Management of research consortium in collaboration with life sciences team
- Develop and oversee our publication strategy
- Cross-functional collaboration with data, product, regulatory, and machine learning teams to deliver high quality scientific output
- Close partnership with life sciences in the execution of collaborative research projects
- Identify, cultivate and manage our key opinion leader (KOL) portfolio
- Facilitate education on AI in endoscopy both internally and externally to advance the field
- Develop and oversee clinical research protocols in support of company priorities
- Partnership with marketing on measuring value of devices in post-marketing environment
- Create resource planning and budgeting for research and development initiatives
Required skills:
- Strong written/verbal technical communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong publication record and experience with developing and executing on a publication strategy
- 10 years of experience in a related space with demonstrated progression of scope and responsibility, with at least 5 years spent in the medical device industry
- Working knowledge of device industry regulatory landscape and the evolving landscape of reimbursement strategy
- Experience in development and testing of AI solutions in healthcare industry, ideally in gastroenterology
- Track record of developing and executing protocols in industry environment for regulatory approval
- Aptitude for collaborating cross-team and cross-functionally to complete resource planning work prioritization and deliver on results
- History of strong team leadership, including demonstrated ability to build, manage, and lead teams
- Experience creating and managing to a corporate budget
Preferred skills:
- Start-up experience
- Part of a commercial launch of a regulated device into clinical practice
- Life science experience
- Experience using Asana, Jira and other work management tools
- Experience with gastroenterology use cases and disease states preferred, including experience working with gastroenterologists as stakeholders
