Position Summary:

As the Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis you will play a critical role in helping the company make strategic business decisions. Reporting to the VP, Finance and Strategy, you will be the functional leader for all FP&A work which includes engaging regularly with our C-suite and will serve as a key strategic advisor to the overall organization. This will include providing examination of actual results and related insights, as well as expectations of future trends to support management in building influential action plans. The VP, FP&A will be the central consolidation point for all departmental FP&A teams, where the full view of our financial results comes together in support of executive financial reviews, external reporting, and investor relations. As a critical member of the Finance Leadership team, you will be accountable for the accuracy of League’s financial model, board and investor reporting, and as such support the Executive Team on decision making with strategic analysis, recommendations based on data, assessment of risks and opportunities, and visibility into financial impact.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead a best-in-class FP&A team that will partner with budget owners to ensure smooth financial operations and drive financial efficiency across the organization 
  • Update our financial processes and tools for the future, including setting up and executing on IPO preparation work streams alongside the Legal and Finance leadership team
  • Partner with business teams to create dashboards, tools, and insights that align to each team's specific needs and financial outcomes
  • Own the monthly Budget to Actual and Operational Metrics reporting to clearly identify variances to forecast, budget, and historical expenses, provided in a clear and action-oriented format to drive recommendations 
  • Tie the company's objectives to a clear set of metrics that we can use to track our progress; understand business drivers, create the metrics to understand them, and report on them in a high impact way
  • Collaborate with the CFO and VP, Finance & Strategy to create and implement an integrated business planning process, including long-term strategic planning, annual planning and quarterly forecast updates
  • Manage the headcount budget, including collaborating with League’s People Leadership team to manage the hiring plan 
  • Support the VP, Finance and Strategy with Board and Investor Reporting, Debt and Equity fundraising, including managing and overseeing the data room and ad hoc requests 
  • Build business cases for strategic initiatives that allow leaders to make sound decisions and drive positive outcomes for the company.
  • Address ad hoc financial requests when they come up to help the business tackle the complex financial questions
About you:
  • A finance expert with at least 10-15 years of experience in FP&A or commensurate experience
  • Experience in fast growing private VC-backed companies with maturing processes
  • A proven leader with the ability to effectively manage and develop an FP&A team
  • An excellent communicator and presenter with an ability to influence all levels, including senior-level executives, with strong interpersonal skills: You have the ability to coordinate processes across multiple stakeholders, and are comfortable with interactions and presentations for all levels of internal and external stakeholders 
  • An excellent problem solver, with an ability to build collaborative relationships with highly innovative stakeholders from various functions to help lead change-management initiatives
  • A track record of success in delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Experience with Adaptive Insights, Salesforce and NetSuite
  • IPO and Public markets experience is preferred
  • Willingness to work during Eastern Timezone business hours

This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for base salaries for the position across all US locations. Where in the band you may land is determined by job-related skills/experience and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.

$187,682—$281,523 USD
