VP, Funding Agreements

F&G is hiring for a Vice President, Funding Agreements. The VP, Funding Agreements will lead the management and growth of Funding Agreement business.  This includes maintaining relationships with Debt Capital Markets (DCM) banking partners and partnering with F&G Capital team to identify, assess and execute on DCM solutions.

This role will report to the President, Institutional and is the owner of F&G’s Funding Agreement business including business strategy and execution through direct and indirect teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and/or support the on-going management and growth of the Funding Agreement (e.g.; FABN, FHLB) business including potential identification, assessment, creation and launch of new Funding Agreement and related business opportunities
  • Maintain relationships with key DCM banking partners covering FABN while monitoring market conditions and assessing relative attractiveness for F&G
  • Partner with Investments, Pricing, Legal and Ops to plan and execute FABN & FHLB issuances
  • Monitor in force in partnership with Finance, Investments, Risk, etc.
• Partner with Finance / Capital Solutions team to identify, assess and execute on Debt Capital Markets (DCM) solutions.  Includes:
  • Having high level knowledge of F&G DCM needs, interests and constraints
  • Regular interactions with relevant banks (DCM teams) to manage relationships, drive selection of banks for specific projects, and monitor DCM market activity / new solutions
  • Report back to Finance / Capital Solutions team on DCM market activity / new solutions
  • Advise on capital solution decisions as needed (e.g.; DCM)
  • Lead execution of DCM programs (e.g.; senior debt)
  • Lead execution of FABN, DCM and similar program issuances
  • Partner with internal and external partners to accomplish above, requiring strong interpersonal and virtual leadership skills
  • Support other Institutional and/or F&G projects as needed

Requirements

• 10 years of Funding Agreement / DCM or related experience
• Significant Financial Services experience required
• Minimum BA/BS degree in Mathematics, Finance, or Economics
• CFA or MBA highly desired
• Expert knowledge of corporate finance and company valuation methods
• 4 years experience leading a team

CFA/ Investments / Credit management/ ALM

Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of Asset/Liability management and fixed income markets is highly desirable
• Excellent analytical/quantitative skills
• Resourceful and excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong Communication Skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to communicate messages to multiple audience levels
• Be able to work, individually and collaborate with a diverse and inclusive team exemplifying strong and proven leadership skills
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, and independently work in a very agile environment and with tight deadlines

• Ability to travel up to 10% - travel required to F&G locations as well as some international travel to attend Board Meetings.
