The world loves Postgres. If you work with developers or data scientists or anyone wrangling data, you’ll probably see a sticker with the tusks and trunk of the Postgres elephant on the lid of a nearby laptop. EDB has a lot to do with that.

We’ve been major contributors to Postgres since the beginning, and we are proud to call thousands of boundary pushing customers our partners. Proud though we are, we are not resting on our laurels. There’s plenty of work to do. The good news is that everything we do will impact Postgres, which is to say that it will impact the world. No pressure.

Job Summary 

We're looking for a VP of Brand Experiences who will be leading and building our new Brand Experiences team. This will include responsibilities for a broad range of creative, design, brand, content, and marketing initiatives in support of our aspiration to create a customer-obsessed AI experimentation, GTM execution, and IPO ready marketing machine that amplifies the brand and accelerates business growth. This team will develop creative, content, community, and communications that click and stick.

This role is 100% remote and will report to our Chief Marketing Officer. 


What your impact will be:

You will lead and build our Brand Experiences team. Our Brand Experiences team will be both a leader and service organization, working across the company with a wide range of stakeholders. This requires knowing our customers by heart – and the products they depend on, building and maintaining strong relationships with numerous teams, keeping an eye on cultural contexts for every campaign we build, and understanding the ins and outs of our business.


What you will bring:

  • You get creative. You are a seasoned creative with a background specializing in creating provocative, original concepts and content against a strategy. You understand how to develop multi-channel campaigns against a unifying idea.
  • You get collaboration. It is critical that our creative leads can come up with breakthrough ideas of their own, but are as comfortable helping teammates break through and partnering with agencies to elevate their work. You will be called on to work on your own at times and collaborate at others. 
  • Relationships with our stakeholders are critical. You will also be responsible for presenting ideas in meetings and managing feedback.
  • You have to love to create, with everything that entails: creative, content, community, and comms, creating tribes. Concepting, iterating, reformulating, taking risks. Designing, crafting, presenting. 


What will make you stand out: 

  • Minimum 15-20 years in creative OR editorial leadership roles, creating breakthrough creative content
  • Track record of developing and leading teams to develop world-class integrated creative campaigns
  • Understanding of 360-degree, full-spectrum media, including traditional, video, digital, and social
  • Experience with interdisciplinary creative, editorial, marketing, media, and production teams
  • A growth mindset, positive attitude, and demonstrated hunger for continuous learning
  • Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and consensus without clear authority
  • The diplomatic savvy to build positive and productive partnerships inside and out
  • A track record of proactively establishing and following through on commitments
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, creative, and communications skills
  • A strong work ethic and strong core values (honesty, integrity, creativity)
  • Problem-solving skills, constantly thinking about ways to improve
  • Passion for technology and cool products
