As Vice President, Growth Marketing for Podium you will lead and scale a world-class team of marketers, responsible for customer acquisition, retention and expansion across digital, offline, organic, lifecycle, and any exploratory channels in addition to building and optimizing self-serve acquisition, while also feeding our sales funnel. Partnering closely with product, analytics, brand, and the broader marketing team, you will be responsible for helping Podium dramatically increase the number of businesses we support. Ideally, you are passionate, detail-oriented, an excellent communicator, independent thinker and incredibly innovative.
What you get to do
- Lead and scale a high performing team of paid, organic, owned and lifecycle marketers to allocate, invest, and optimize the performance marketing budget across all channels to meet our ever growing business pipeline and revenue targets
- Go above and beyond the status quo of Google and Facebook advertising! Experiment, pilot, and grow the broad spectrum of digital channels to support significant scale
- Utilize data-driven methodology, analysis, and measurement to improve effectiveness and efficiency of our performance channels
- Use a process of testing to prove hypotheses and recommend performance optimizations
- Collaborate with our creative team to develop cut through creatives that resonate with our target customer
- Relentlessly experiment different targeting, messaging, ad images, video ads and copy to strike the balance between scale and cost efficiency
- Create or modify processes and build the culture of data-driven marketing at scale
In order to be successful in this leadership role, the ideal candidate will have the following:
- 15+ years of experience of acquisition marketing and performance/growth marketing with direct oversight of Organic, SEM, display, retargeting, paid social, TV, direct mail innovative digital channels and funnel optimization
- Direct experience scaling performance and impact through innovative, and successful “growth hacky” approaches beyond the status quo of Google Adwords and Facebook advertising
- Experience building and scaling a self-service type model in tandem with driving digital tactics for the sales channel
- 5-10 years of people management experience
- Track record of growing marketing investment on a measurable basis at scale
- Exceptional problem solving, and analysis skills combined with the ability to synthesize and effectively communicate findings to all levels throughout the organization
- Experience with Marketo and Salesforce CRM, affiliate, and paid, organic, email and social marketing channels and technologies is a plus
- Willingness to be deep in the details while also being able to create and communicate higher level strategy
- Demonstrated ability to partner effectively across the organization.
- Self-starter and ability to build programs from scratch.
- Must have a positive attitude and willingness to roll-up their sleeves and get things done.
