What we’re looking for
The VP of Investor Relations & Business Development will own and drive two critical functions at Vacasa. First, this person will own our overall investor relations strategy which includes overseeing the strategic planning, development, coordination, and execution of all investor relations programs and events with the objective of ensuring that a consistent and compelling corporate investment case is presented to analysts and shareholders. As part of this, and as an engaging storyteller, you will craft a holistic strategy around investor messaging, targeting, and outreach and will provide investor/market intelligence and counsel to our CEO and CFO. Second, this person will work hand in hand with the CEO and Sr leadership team to execute on Vacasa’s strategic vision and drive business development. This role will help propel operational efficiency and have accountability for key initiatives and deliverables owned across the organization. This person will also lead the strategy planning process, support the annual plan, and measure progress to ensure that we are staying on track. The right person for this role will have an entrepreneurial mindset and a knack for applying frameworks and solving nebulous business problems.
What you'll do
- Develop and oversee the global investor relations program
- Oversee the quarterly earning process and develop investor focused materials
- Keep investors apprised of Vacasa’s continuously developing strategy and financial model
- Acknowledge and promptly respond to investor inquiries
- Design productive sell and buy side engagement strategies
- Engage with sell-side analysts and buy-side investors to communicate the Vacasa story
- Provide oversight and guidance leading up to investor events to ensure executive readiness
- CFO/CEO Proxy in Trading Desk meetings
- Partner with our CEO and leadership team to align the team and company to key business initiatives, change programs, and cross-functional objectives
- Lead and own the strategic planning process
- Coordinate the agenda for Vacasa’s senior leadership and our process for determining long-term goals, KPIs, and tactics to drive success
- Partner with the CFO, helping to lead the annual planning process
- Conduct research, perform benchmarking, and analyze data to surface insights on business performance, with suggestions on how to use those insights to improve and grow
- Analyze large amounts of information and data quickly and effectively to reduce complexity and make actionable recommendations
- Structure complex, ambiguous technical & strategic problems for the leadership team
- Planning, coordinating, and keeping contents of executive meetings focused
Skills you'll need
- Provide an excellent investor relations service to all investors and prospects
- Strong financial acumen including knowledge of financial statements modeling and valuation techniques utilized by analysts
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills; ability to effectively influence cross-functional teams and decision makers
- Capable of understanding various business functions and problems; ability to structure frameworks to solve those problems
- Proven track record for driving strategic planning and growing the business within a public company
- Solid analytical and problem solving skills, with the interpersonal capability to ensure they are implemented
- Knowledge of Regulation FD and SEC reporting requirements impacting investor and other external communications
- Exposure to liquidity stress testing, funds transfer pricing processes / models, and rating agency metrics
- Background in management consulting desirable
- Experience in the tech travel industry a plus
- Skilled at building networks and interpersonal relationships
- At least 7-10 years experience working in the investor relations function
- Excellent project management & organizational skills

Compensation:
- $240000 - $270000 / year
- Performance based bonus opportunity
- Salary is dependent on experience
