The VP of Sales Strategy & Operations is responsible for managing a team that supports both the strategy and operations across the Sales, professional services, and Channel sales teams. They work with the CRO and global Sales leadership team to develop a consistent and aligned strategy across the Sales organization - and build out the operational processes and capabilities to deliver on the strategy. They identify areas of inefficiency and build recommendations to drive improvement in those areas.
What you'll do:
- Develop our GTM strategy that will deliver our bookings growth, retention targets and operating margin targets
- Build operational cohesion and strong execution by knitting together the different functions of our GTM team
- Develop a data-driven, probability weighted bookings forecast for the business
- Drive continual improvement in our bookings forecasting, pipeline management, segmentation, quota, territory setting, demand generation, and pipeline forecasting processes
- Create the standard for operational excellence within GTM operations; establish processes and refine current ones
- Own our data sets, dashboards, KPIs, and ultimately our decision making framework;
- A trusted advisor to the CRO and senior Sales leadership team to drive and track the business under a rigorous data-driven approach, interpreting KPIs and providing recommendations.
- Be the owner of the business operational model and cadence (forecast calls, business reviews, etc.)
- Partner effectively across various departments (HR, Finance, Data Science, Enablement, Success and Marketing) to drive key strategic projects and long-term transformational initiatives
Experience you'll bring:
- Experience working alongside senior executives including Chief Revenue Officer, VP of Sales, VP of Professional Services, VP of Revenue/Marketing Strategy & Operations
- Strategic Consulting and/or Strategy background
- Experience with sales, customer Success, Channel and professional services in a strategic or operational role
- Experience creating and delivering high profile strategic projects within a business, leading cross-functional, global teams
- Experience with Sales technology stack (Anaplan, Salesforce, People.ai, BI tools, etc.)
- Flexible and able to adjust on the fly to new demands; a sense of urgency.
- A team player willing to help his/her colleagues, when necessary.
- Ability to interact and influence decision-making processes at multiple levels
- Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and flexible working in a fast-paced environment
Requirements:
- Requires a minimum of 15 years of related or equivalent experience; or 10+ years and an advanced degree
- Requires prior leadership experience
