The VP, Operations (AV) will lead and oversee day-to-day operational performance for autonomous vehicle initiatives, driving strategic growth, efficiency, and profitability. This executive role combines operational oversight, financial management, and team leadership across multiple functions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. The VP will partner closely with departmental heads to optimize processes, enhance client engagement, and maintain high performance standards. Operating in a fast-paced, innovative environment, this role requires a strategic, people-first leader capable of shaping long-term operational success while promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Accountabilities
- Provide executive oversight of all site operations, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational excellence.
- Lead operational planning, goal setting, and daily management of personnel, purchasing, administration, and other departments.
- Monitor revenue margins, operational KPIs, and internal controls to maintain accountability and profitability.
- Partner with department heads to optimize team structures, performance metrics, and workforce planning.
- Develop and implement training, development, and performance evaluation programs to maximize staff growth and efficiency.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration, engaging internal and external stakeholders, partners, and vendors to support operational objectives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, leveraging analytics, technology, and operational best practices to scale organizational performance.
- Minimum 7 years of senior leadership experience managing large business or enterprise operations.
- Proven experience in autonomous vehicle operations or similar technology-driven operational environments.
- Strong financial management, budgeting, and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated ability to structure, implement, and measure effective training and development programs.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with a people-first management approach.
- Solid understanding of organizational behavior, workforce planning, operational analytics, and performance metrics.
- BS or BA preferred; advanced certifications or relevant executive experience is a plus.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% within the assigned region.
- Competitive salary range: $171,000 – $257,000 USD, dependent on experience and location.
