About This Role
The VP of Product Design for Yahoo Finance will lead reconceptualization of the design of this market leading product. In this role, you would be responsible for the user experience and visual design for Yahoo Finance as well as provide creative concept development and execution of strategic initiatives. You will do this while providing hands-on leadership for the organization.
The VP of Product Design will set the vision and organizational structure of Design and User Experience. This leader will be a key member of the Yahoo Finance leadership team and must have a strong senior presence and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate must foster a can-do culture and align resources, priorities, and processes for success while fostering a successful partnership with Engineering and Product leaders.
Responsibilities:

• Lead the design strategy and execution roadmap for Yahoo Finance ensuring consistent and world-class capabilities across our product portfolio
• Drive overall design philosophy and best-in-class design systems that lead to great consumer products
• Create and hone communication and reporting activities across the organization, providing hands-on leadership for the ideation, creative concept development and execution of strategic initiatives in partnership with the other members of the executive team
• Utilize effective leadership practices to attract and retain top talent at all levels and develop a world-class Design organization
• Fosters Diversity & Inclusion in hiring practices and daily culture, operations and delivery

Basic Qualifications :

• 10+ years of experience, including leading visual design and user experience resources
• BS or BA Degree
• Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining successful, influential working relationships at all levels of an organization
• Strong communication and executive presence with exceptional storytelling and influencing skills
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Comfort with design and prototyping tools; express product design ideas in a visual and verbal manner, as the situation dictates, to align teams and partners.
• Experience designing media products as well as applications is a must
• Experience in the consumer finance category a strong plus.
• Pioneering, innovative thinker with the ability to anticipate and lead capabilities that will enable growth amidst rapid change
• Track record of motivating a highly-skilled organization and collaborating with a diverse set of stakeholders in a highly matrixed environment
• Command of current design methodologies and trends, a curiosity for new technologies and a proven ability to innovate how people engage with products
• Ability to channel different points of view; establish and maintain excellent relationships and credibility quickly; create a team atmosphere while achieving key objectives
• Experience with management of remote work groups is a strong plus

If hired for this position in Colorado, the compensation range for this position is between $250,500.00 - $417,500.00. The compensation may vary depending on your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include additional incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, plus equity incentives.
