VP R&D

We are seeking a seasoned and visionary Vice President of R&D to lead and manage our software development team. This role demands a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic thinking to drive the success of our development efforts. The ideal candidate will oversee technical decision-making, team management, and the development of innovative solutions while serving as a key technical authority within the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage day-to-day operations of development and domain leads.
• Foster a collaborative and productive environment, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
• Lead high-level recruitment efforts to attract top talent.
• Oversee onboarding processes to ensure seamless integration of new team members.
• Review and approve technical decisions, including pull requests (PRs), System Improvement Proposals (SIPs), and high-level design architectures.
• Provide guidance on complex technical challenges and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Write and maintain technical documentation to ensure knowledge transfer and alignment.
• Act as the knowledge center for the development team.
• Develop and implement strategies to prevent future crises.
• Develop and execute plans for current and future projects.
• Collaborate with other departments to align R&D initiatives with business goals.

Your Experience & Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in software development, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and driving successful project outcomes.
• Deep understanding of Decentralized network works (required) and Staking technologies (big advantage).
• Understanding in some or most of the following: Solidity, consensus mechanisms, networking, front-end/back-end development, and DevOps.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach.
• BSc degree in Computer Science or relevant field or equivalent - Advantage
