Web Data Analyst

  We are seeking a seasoned Web Data Analyst to join our Cloud Business unit, primarily focusing on Octopart. This role is ideal for a data-driven individual with substantial experience in analyzing web-based platforms or digital-first businesses. As a Web Data Analyst, you'll play a critical role in our data-driven decision-making process, offering insights that can significantly enhance our online customer experience, conversion rates, and revenue.  

In a typical week you’ll:

• Analyze web traffic metrics and user behavior on Octopart, providing insights to enhance website performance, conversion rates, and user experience
• Maintain data collection systems and strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets, presenting actionable insights to the team
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish KPIs and metrics for Octopart online campaigns, products, and user behavior
• Utilize various analytical tools and platforms to measure and improve Octopart website performance
• Monitor and forecast online trends on Octopart, identifying opportunities for website and campaign optimizations
• Produce regular reports and presentations on Octopart web analytics metrics to the senior management
• Implement and maintain data quality and validation processes to ensure accurate data collection and reporting for Octopart

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, specifically analyzing web-based platforms or digital-first businesses. Experience with online search engines or e-commerce sites is a big plus
• Proficiency in programming and coding languages relevant to data analysis. These include SQL for database management and querying, Python for data manipulation and machine learning applications, and R for statistical analysis
• Strong knowledge of web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc.) and data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, etc.)
• Experience with data integration tools like Segment for collecting, centralizing, and sending data
• Experience with analytics engineering tools such as dbt Cloud for creating data transformations and managing them with version control tools such as Git
• Expertise in using cloud data platforms like Snowflake for data storage and analysis
• Proficiency in A/B testing and other testing methodologies

The salary range for this role is $123,000 to $161,000. Actual compensation packages within this range are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate and role requirements, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
