WONGDOODY Amplifying Creative Talent Scholarship

Black women creative students!  

Black women creatives are sorely underrepresented in our industry. We know you’ve got the talent, excellence and ambition to transform your career dreams into your dream career and help change that, but we also know it’s not easy. If you’re currently enrolled in college and pursuing a creative role in advertising, experience design, branding, or emergent tech, apply for our $5000 Summer 2023 Amplifying Creative Talent Scholarship and we might be able to help. 

It’s paid directly to your school, and it’s open to all Black women — including cis, trans, non-binary, femmes, gender expansive, gender non-conforming, and gender fluid people — marginalized by societal constructs. And we especially want to hear from queer and trans women. Self-definition is at the sole discretion of the applicant. 

To be eligible an applicant must: 

• Identify as Black 
• Identify as a woman (including cis, trans, non-binary, femmes, gender expansive, gender non-conforming, and gender fluid people)  
• Be a currently enrolled student at a college in the United States and have completed at least the sophomore year of undergraduate studies OR the first year of portfolio or graduate school 
• Maintain satisfactory academic progress as determined by their school
• Be pursuing a creative-focused role in experience design, marketing or advertising, including but not limited to experience designers, strategists and content creators
• Candidate must be able to receive awarded scholarship funds in conjunction with the financial aid office or student account services of their School or University.  Scholarship funds cannot be directly awarded to the candidate, but may be used by the winner in any manner a student account would allow for- room, board, books, tuition, supplies etc.
