World Systems Frameworks Feature Lead - Destiny

Do you like guiding a team that flexibly moves between the level design, tools, scripting, and systems design to do whatever needs to get done? Do you like building systems and tools that enable designers to easily express themselves creatively while maintaining experiential consistency? We are looking for someone to lead a team building the next generation of Destiny experiences!

As a Feature Lead, you are a collaborative leader who can identify goals and vision, set strategy for the team, and break down complex goals into more simple tasks and direction. You’re committed to fostering a culture of helping everyone make their ideas stronger.

RESPONSIBILITIES           

• Negotiate technical solutions between multiple teams and priorities
• Solving the thorny problems at the boundaries between world and systems design
• Work closely with the Area Lead and Leadership Team to identify and prioritize features
• Identify and develop goals and success criteria for features
• Ensure the Team's work is achievable by guiding them to appropriately adjust scope and expectations

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Demonstrable internal systemic philosophy and decision-making
• Excellent documentation skills and a desire to formalize and future-proof design processes
• Experience setting vision, strategy, and roadmaps for a team
• Experience developing and iterating on feature goals
• Ability to integrate and evolve systems into a large, complex, shared world game
• Experience working with analytics and product management
• Ability to communicate effectively across disciplines

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS

• Experience working on shared world games
• Experience with a coding or scripting language
• Experience hiring, training, and managing other Designers
• Experience working on FPS action games
