They will be responsible for protocol during works council meetings, committees, and meetings, create presentations, and prepare materials for staff meetings and accountability reports. They will assist with the organizational processing of documents, maintain follow-up lists, and manage the backlog of administrative tasks. The assistant will also support the works council team with mail handling, filing, scheduling, and coordination of meetings, and help create communication materials and consolidate information for public relations. They will assist with training registrations, prepare trips for works council training, and account for them according to company guidelines. Stryker welcomes input on new ideas and tools. The ideal candidate has completed an apprenticeship as a legal assistant, a commercial apprenticeship, or a comparable training, with some experience in an administrative role. They should have excellent PC skills, particularly in MS Office. Strong organizational skills, high initiative, and a self-directed, structured work approach are essential. The candidate should be communicative, assertive, and capable of handling confidential information. Proactive thinking and high service orientation are also required. A friendly and secure demeanor with excellent social skills is necessary. Completion of the 'Protocol and Secretarial Training for the Works Council' is a plus, but can also be completed during onboarding.
