Summary About the position: Assists the Force Support Squadron NAF IT Specialist in all matters relating to data systems and communication hardware/software applications used within 412 Force Support Squadron MWR activities. This is a Regular Full Time (RFT) position with benefits (medical, dental, life insurance, retirement, 401(k), and annual/sick leave. Learn more about this agency Requirements Conditions of Employment This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results. Must complete Pre-Employment Drug Screening and subject to random drug screenings. Must complete a Pre-Employment physical within 60 days of hire. Must possess a clean driving record and provide a DMV print out. May work uncommon tour of duty to include days, nights, weekends, holidays, and down days. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying Experience: Working knowledge of most Microsoft Windows operating systems. Must have working knowledge to install operating systems and train users. Possess sufficient knowledge of electrical requirements and communications cabling to conduct surveys and propose necessary upgrades required to install new and replacement systems. Must have knowledge of current COTS hardware, software and operating systems to be able to make well informed recommendations for the purchase of new equipment and to actively participate in the source selection process. Position is a drug-tested position. Incumbent may be subject to random testing for drug use. Must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. Pre-employment physical is required. Must be able to work in enclosed spaces. Working knowledge of Cisco operating systems and hardware is desired. Must have valid driver's license. This is a drug testing designated position. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
