3D Character Modeler (Roblox)

Orange Comet is looking for a talented 3D Character Modeler to join our dynamic roblox team. As a 3D Character Modeler at Orange Comet, you will play a pivotal role in creating visually stunning and immersive characters for our next-generation games. Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the art and design teams to create high-quality 3D character models that align with the artistic vision and style of our games.
• Sculpt, texture, and rig 3D characters, ensuring they are optimized for real-time rendering on various platforms.
• Create visually appealing and memorable characters that enhance the overall gaming experience and engage players.
• Work closely with the animation team to ensure that character models are well-suited for smooth and realistic animations.
• Continuously iterate on character designs based on feedback from the creative team and playtesting results.
• Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends and stay up-to-date with the latest 3D modeling techniques and technologies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a 3D Character Modeler in the gaming or entertainment industry.
• Proficiency in industry-standard 3D modeling software (e.g., Maya, Blender, ZBrush).
• Strong knowledge of character rigging and animation principles.
• Ability to create both stylized and realistic character models.
• Ability to adapt stylized design to game engine limitations.
• Detail-oriented with a keen eye for character design aesthetics.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• A passion for gaming and a desire to contribute to the creation of captivating virtual worlds.

Nice to have:

• Experience working on real-time multiplayer games.
• Familiarity with roblox gaming concepts and technologies.
• Knowledge of character optimization techniques for different platforms.
• Experience in modeling stylized anime characters
• Experience with creating characters for cross-platform PC and mobile games.
• Proficiency in creating character textures and materials.
• Understanding of the game development pipeline and workflow.

Additional Information:

The base salary range for a full-time position is $60,000-$90,000 USD + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
