The Washington D.C. VA Medical Center is seeking full-time Primary Care physicians to work on a multidisciplinary team engaging in face-to-face care. The ideal candidate is an independent care provider who is highly skilled and has experience in General Internal Medicine or Family Practice. Averages 30 hours of bookable face to face, phone, secure messaging time with veterans. Mixture of acute and chronic care management for a panel of 1200 patients. A multidisciplinary team setting consisting of physicians, RN and Health technicians and close collaboration with mental health clinicians. We have affiliations with The George Washington University Medical Center, Georgetown University Medical School, Howard University and Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Veteran services are provided in an outpatient setting. Schedule: Monday β Friday, 8:00-4:30.
Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP): Up to $200,000 over a 5-year period for a qualified, approved position.
Benefits:
Relocation/Recruitment Incentives (Sign-on Bonus): Available for well-qualified applicants
EDRP Authorized: This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program.
Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of annual paid time offer per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)
Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA
Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement)Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory
CME: Must be full-time with board certification
Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided
Contract: No Physician Employment Contract
