Summary
This position is being filled under a streamlined hiring authority, Title 21 of the U.S. Code (21 US Code 379d-3a) as amended by the 21st Century Cures Act of 2016, section 3072 and the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023, Section 3624. The candidate selected for this position will serve under a career or career-conditional appointment and be paid under the provisions of this authority. This position is being recruited based on the Title 21 Pay Table 7, Band D (GS-14/GS-15 equivalency).

Minimum Relevant Experience and Required Years of Relevant Experience: Candidates must possess at least seven (7) years of relevant experience outlined as follows: (1) developing, recommending, and implementing administrative operational policies and procedures related to at least two of the following: budget, training, human resources, and/or information technology; (2) serving as a principal advisor and strategic leader in developing appropriate and timely office position, policy, and responses under unique and unprecedented circumstances; and, (3) managing administrative projects requiring research, drafting proposals, preparing reports and briefing papers, providing recommendations, and delivering oral presentations.

Telework eligible position: Telework is at the discretion of the supervisor. Highly qualified candidates may be authorized to telework two (2) days per week. Selected candidate will be required to report to the office in Rockville, Maryland three (3) days per week; therefore, the selected candidate must reside within the local commuting area of the official duty location.
