WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
As Accounting Manager, APLA Order-to-Cash (O2C), you'll be part of a strong team that is driving Nike's international business growth through the APLA Geography. While mastering and carrying out the fundamentals will be crucial, your ability to operate in a very dynamic environment, work effectively and build trust with a variety of internal partners will also be important. This role plays a critical part in enabling new marketplace strategies across APLA, as well as in driving operational excellence with how we support and enable the business. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, highly organized and able to drive collaborative relationships with cross-functional business partners.

Success in this role will result in informed business decisions, process excellence, optimized financial control and financial statement accuracy related to APLA Revenue and Receivables.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

• Partner with O2C team across APLA territories providing strategic direction, support, training and mentorship
• Download global O2C guidance regarding revenue and marketplace related accounting policies
• Collect and deliver measurable value through business partnership, including performing technical research on sophisticated accounting issues and consulting with business partners on key topics
• Lead Controlling contact for execution of the quarterly revenue recognition and overall close process, including coordination with Marketplace Partner Unit Sales leads and APLA Finance Leadership report out
• Work closely with Commercial Finance and Costumer Finance to understand financial statement impact of Marketplace-related items, inform the quarterly forecasts, and ensure APLA alignment prior to close
• Drive communication and alignment with APLA business partners specific to external audit and compliance related items
• Assist in understanding the impact of any new guidance or policies within the APLA geography
• Serve as a liaison between APLA business partners and external / internal audit
• Support on crafting and implementing effective controls to manage financial reporting risk across the geography order to cash processes
• Provide timely accounting positions, financial insights and operational considerations to enable decision making
• Monitor standardized, scalable and controlled revenue & receivable accounting processes and transactions aligned with global policies

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
Reporting to the APLA O2C Controlling Director, this role is a critical Finance partner for APLA geography and Global Controlling Marketplace team. You will lead one Senior Accountant (direct report) and indirectly guide O2C accountants spread across the APLA territories. You will have frequent interactions with other APLA Controlling Value Streams and will work close with the APLA Financial Planning team.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and training in Finance or Accounting
• 7+ Public accounting experience and/or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred
• In depth knowledge and quick application of US GAAP required
• Experience with ERP accounting and finance systems such as SAP or Oracle is required
• Ability to develop influential and collaborative relationships across teams and functions, preferably inclusive of navigating a large corporation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate status, issues, risks and opportunities with leaders
• Transformative, process oriented and forward-thinking mentality
• Desired people management experience
• Strong enthusiasm and passion for the NIKE brand
• Experience with a Fortune 500/multinational consumer products company is strongly preferred
