Job Title:Accounting Manager Location:Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid – 2 days onsite) Industry:Professional Services / Legal Pay:$80,000 – $100,000 / Annually Benefits:This position is eligible for company paid medical, PTO, sick time, STD/LTD, and 401(k). About Our Client: Our client is a growing legal firm that has expanded significantly in the past year. They are adding their first dedicated in-house finance leader to take ownership of the accounting function, develop efficient processes, and provide strategic financial guidance to support future growth. Job Description: The Accounting Manager will manage all aspects of day-to-day accounting operations and implement scalable systems to meet the demands of a fast-growing organization. This position will work closely with the leadership team, oversee financial reporting, and ensure compliance with all applicable standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Lead daily accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance and reconciliations. β€’ Manage payroll processing, benefits administration, and related compliance filings. β€’ Supervise accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. β€’ Monitor and forecast cash flow, including oversight of designated accounts. β€’ Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. β€’ Coordinate with external accountants and auditors during year-end and special projects. β€’ Develop and implement policies, procedures, and internal controls to improve efficiency. β€’ Partner with leadership to provide data-driven insights for business planning. Qualifications: β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; CPA designation is a plus. β€’ 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience; experience in a professional services or legal environment preferred. β€’ IOLTA compliance experience β€’ Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices. β€’ Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software. β€’ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. β€’ Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-moving work environment.
