Android Senior Engineer

Gathern is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Android Engineer to join our talented mobile development team. As a Senior Android Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing high-quality and innovative Android applications that will be used by millions of users.

• Design and develop high-quality Android applications using Kotlin and Android SDK
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define, design, and ship new features
• Lead the development process from concept to release, ensuring the delivery of performant and scalable Android applications
• Evaluate and implement new technologies and frameworks to optimize application performance and maintainability
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to junior engineers
• Optimize application performance and ensure smooth user experiences

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Android development
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Android SDK
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
• Deep understanding of Android technologies, components, and best practices
• Knowledge of software design patterns and architectural principles
• Understanding of performance and memory tuning tools for Android
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
