OVERVIEW
Movement Strategy is seeking a photo + video Art Director, fluent in all things Instagram and Tiktok, to own the look & feel and content creation for our new entertainment-focused client in LA. Entertainment lovers, keep reading. You’ll work closely with a Copywriter and an ACD to pitch concepts that drive photo + video content productions and influencer partnerships. You’ll design mockups and styleframes to sell through content for grid posts, IG stories, and Reels, and develop shot lists and pre-pro decks for social video productions. Working with fan-submitted photos and video may also be a component.
Ideal candidates are content creators themselves, who fearlessly navigate social and get a rush when they’re early to discover the next trend. We’re looking for someone to raise the bar, to capture the humor in pets, and design an Instagram page that becomes a “must follow” account. This position could be a Senior title if you are both an Art Director and video editor with the right experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Art Director, you’ll work closely with client and internal creative teams to conceptualize and actualize visual content designed for social. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Creating photo + video content for Instagram and potentially TikTok
- Working with full time or freelance Video Editors to produce content
- Owning deck design and mood board imagery for presentations
- Developing pre-production specs, visuals, and shot lists for photo/videographers
- Conceptualizing on larger, campaign-level ideas and content
REQUIREMENTS
- 4-6 Years of relevant experience
- Strong content design skills, including motion + video
- Proficiency with Photoshop and an understanding of After Effects workflow
- Proficiency with Adobe Premiere is a major plus
- A love and appreciation for Tiktok and the science behind shareable videos
- Ability to concept visual ideas, and move them through production to social distribution in collaboration with a team
- Knowledge of the full creative process including video, audio, and motion content creation
- Basic understanding of sound design, and how music + SFX influence storytelling
