Job Description

We’re looking for a Director of People Operations who will be responsible for helping to find, develop, motivate and retain employees at ATTN:. This will involve partnering with recruitment on finding the best talent, coaching on team leadership, helping to resolve employee relations issues and managing programs that help develop staff. You will be responsible for all aspects of the employee experience. You will manage 1 direct report and work closely with the Executive Leadership Team, Founders and cross functional departments. What You’ll Do

  • Act as a single point of contact for managers and employees, providing true HR business partnership, coaching and feedback
  • Consult with leadership on organization design efforts and help to create and execute a talent management strategy across the company (including but not limited to retention plans, career development, learning and development, and compensation planning)
  • Live our company values and work alongside leadership to create a supportive and inclusive environment where employees feel both challenged and appreciated
  • Drive Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) forward at ATTN: by holding key stakeholders across the company accountable for executing various DEI initiatives
  • Work closely with external legal counsel to manage and resolve complex employee relations issues 
  • Drive the performance review process on a semi-annual basis, making improvements to the process as needed
  • Analyze HR analytics and make recommendations on new initiatives, programs or policies that should be implemented to improve the employee experience
  • Build a strong rapport with leaders, managers and employees across the organization
  • Work with Director, Talent Acquisition to lead full cycle recruiting efforts to source, hire, and retain an optimal team of both full-time employees and freelance contractors including developing a strategy and execution that engages candidates for current and future openings
  • Advise Director, Talent Acquisition on developing programs that enhance the candidate experience and improve the recruiting and onboarding process 
  • Analyze data to identify areas of improvement and provide data-driven recommendations to guide decisions related to future diversity sourcing, interview strategies and recruiting best practices to ensure recruiting process is free of bias
  • Act as primary point of contact for all benefit vendors, and in partnership with Controller, lead annual benefit renewal process
  • Lead bi-weekly payroll processing in conjunction with Controller and assist with ad hoc questions 
  • Assist with the effective onboarding and offboarding of employees
  • Stay up to date on and enforce relevant state and federal labor laws 
  • Partner with Facilities team on physical office logistics (seating arrangements, COVID-19 safety, furniture moves, etc) on an as needed basis 

Who You Are

  • 8+ years of talent/HR experience, minimum of 1-2 years of payroll experience plus at least 2 years leading a People function 
  • Previous experience in production/creative/advertising agencies preferred, but not required
  • A hands-on approach to solve complex issues in a constantly evolving, fast paced and lean environment
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and constant changes, and able to prioritize in a lean and fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to drive DEI initiatives with an organization, with clear measures of success
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range employees, from varying employment types and levels of management
  • Independent self-starter capable of proposing and implementing solutions to ever changing demands
  • Confidence in your ability to effectively challenge leaders and/or norms in order to drive the best outcomes for both the organization and employees
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and counsel leaders to best lead their departments
