Job Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Salt Lake City, UT. Holistic ownership and understanding of client accounts from a Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) Operations perspective by coordinating client issues across all operations teams and business partners. Act as a point of contact for GSAM Operations. Coordinate and manage tasks across a multi-disciplined team (e.g., private equity, hedge funds, long-only, senior loan program) to ensure all operational information relating to an account event is received and systems are set up prior to account trading activity. Liaise with clients' appointed counterparties (e.g., custodian, prime broker, loan originator) to enable connectivity, establish operational flows and respond to service requests and inquiries. Interpret and determine Operational client requirements and service standards from legal documentation and business requirements supporting all account events. Coordinate controls and sign-offs both internally and externally. Ensure accounting data accuracy and provide oversight in order to create controlled environment for investment management process. Daily cash forecasting in multi-currency portfolios to include overdraft monitoring and fund liquidity reporting. Trading desk support to include ad-hoc queries as well as ongoing business initiatives. Proactively review indicators of operational issues/concerns with the goal of resolving such issues before client impact. Review account level metrics (i.e., reconciling items on cash/position reconciliations, daily corporate actions, NAV Reconciliations, failing trades and standard/non-standard reporting deliverables) as defined by operating standards and research, escalate, remediate exceptions as appropriate. Provide effective thought leadership in navigating evolving financial regulatory landscape and help to develop technological solutions to build appropriate architecture. Apply process reengineering methodologies in executing strategies and tactical solutions. Scalability analysis of workflow cost drivers and trends to help drive process improvements and efficiency, budgeting and cost allocation to various revenue producing desks.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field. Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include two (2) years of experience with: financial products, including experience with one or more: Private Equity, Loans or other Alternative Investments; utilizing industry-wide trade booking and collateral management platforms, such as Markit, WSO and MyState Street; handling time-sensitive projects while focusing on the quality of work delivered and helping to lead projects to a successful conclusion. Utilizing JIRA (a tool used to track requirement requests for development and bug resolution) to manage project requirement and testing document files; coordinating issue resolution across multiple stakeholder group; Alteryx, Microsoft Access databases and advanced Excel functions including macros in order to prepare client reports and run financial calculations; and Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Using formulas and functions such as VLOOKUP, Index, Match and Pivot tables and Office shortcuts to perform tasks efficiently. Prior experience must include one (1) year working with: general accounting principles.
