Healix Infusion Therapy is seeking a full-timeAssociate Clinical Pharmacy Managerlocated in Sugar Land, TX!
This Sugar Land-based position requires 40-50% travel outside of the Houston area. The successful candidate will obtain up to four additional state pharmacy licenses within 6 months of employment. The successful candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter with a desire to learn to practice in a variety of settings. Prior hospital or home care experience is preferred.
Schedule:Monday - Friday; 8 hour shifts. With the travel requirements.
Program Opportunities:
β’ Manage infusion pharmacy site operations that will include inventory management, patient charting, insurance billing, and direct supervision of technicians
β’ Clinically manage patients and provide physicians with accurate drug therapy assessment, pharmacokinetic monitoring and recommendations for antimicrobials, parenteral nutrition, and other infusion therapies
β’ Work in an interdisciplinary setting providing pharmacy services with an immediate impact to patient care
β’ Travel to various specialty sites within an assigned multi-state region
β’ Attend regional and national pharmacy association meetings and conventions
β’ Assist with recruitment efforts of future Associate Clinical Pharmacy Manager candidates
β’ Requires additional state licensures as requested by pharmacy department
During the training program, pharmacists will have the opportunity to select a Clinical or Management track with rotations designed to develop expertise in that area.Clinical Opportunities (included but not limited to):
β’ Successfully complete a clinical research rotation with the Outcomes Research Team
β’ Prepare and present a research presentation approved by pharmacy department
β’ Obtain Board Certification when eligible, in Pharmacotherapy, Infectious Disease, or Nutrition Support
Management Opportunities (included but not limited to):
β’ Successfully complete a four-week rotation with Corporate Management Team
β’ Complete a management certificate from an approved accredited institution
β’ Obtain Board Certification in Ambulatory Care Pharmacy or Compounded Sterile Preparations

Our Associate Clinical Pharmacy Manager program provides clinical experience in Outpatient Antibiotic Therapy (OPAT) as well as Allergy, immunology, gastro, neurology, and oncology. Successful candidates will also gain experience in personnel management, inventory management, payor guideline compliance and other aspects of total patient care. They will also gain expertise in USP <797> and USP <800> compliance and other regulatory aspects of pharmacy practice.

Education, Experience and Certifications

Texas licensed pharmacist or recent graduate of ACPE accredited college of pharmacy
β’
ACPE Sterile Products Certification
β’
Ability to obtain licensure in additional states
β’
Infectious disease knowledge preferred
β’
Strong attention to detail, flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
