Role Overview As a Senior Tax Manager, you will be a key player in tax compliance and planning engagements, helping to drive strategic decisions, and providing top-tier service to clients. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to clients, identify new opportunities for business, and mentor junior staff. What You’ll Do: • Review and prepare complex federal and state tax returns including partnership, S Corporation, C Corporation, individual, trust, and gift tax returns. • Provide expert advice on tax strategies, tax planning, and compliance issues to help clients achieve their goals. • Conduct in-depth research on complex tax matters and create actionable recommendations. • Represent clients in interactions with the IRS and other tax authorities. • Build strong, trusted relationships with clients, offering proactive guidance and business insights. • Mentor and support the growth of junior staff members, fostering their professional development and providing timely feedback to team members • Contribute to the firm’s business development efforts and marketing initiatives. What You Bring to the Table • CPA license (required). • At least 9 years of recent public accounting experience (experience in small to mid-sized firms preferred). • Deep technical expertise in high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and businesses. • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. • Proficiency in QuickBooks (experience with CCH ProSystem is a plus). • Experience with international tax issues is a plus, but not required.
