Job Description
A Technical Sales Manager (what we internally call a âBrand Technical Specialist Managerâ) in Data & AI means helping your teams in accelerating enterprisesâ success by improving their ability to understand their data. It means supporting your team provide solutions that enable people across organizations in multiple roles the ability to turn data into actionable insights without having to wait for IT. And it means driving the sales of multi-award winning software and world-class design practices that enables business analysts to ask new questions. Your Role and Responsibilities
As a proven and credible practitioner your deep solution experience will help you lead a team of go-to subject matter experts. Fostering a culture of candour collaboration and growth-mindedness youâll ensure co-creation across IBM Sales and client teams that drive investment in and adoption of IBMâs strategic platforms. Overseeing your teamsâ fusion of innovative solutions with modern IT architectures integrated solutions and offerings youâll ensure theyâre helping to solve some of their clients most complex business challenges.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Team Leadership and Coaching in Technical Sales: Lead and coach a team of technical sales talent to partner with clients co-create use-case-specific solutions and drive innovative approaches to address clientsâ business needs.
Collaboration and Strategy Development: Collaborate and strategize with IBM client and partner sales teams to deliver compelling prototypes that lead to transformative value-added changes for our clients.
Maximizing Utilization of IBMâs Technology Sales Resources: Promote the maximum usage of IBMâs Technology Sales resources including Client Engineering 3rd party selling partners and the Customer Success Management team.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Proven Veteran Leadership in Technical Sales Teams: Demonstrated track record in leading technical sales teams to consistently achieve sales quotas in complex technology sales and account relationship/development environments.
Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Possess palpable people communication and collaboration skills with a verified record of executive-level networking and influencing throughout the successful closure of complex technology sales cycles ranging from deals valued at $250k to multi-million dollars.
Credibility and Confidence in Technology Domains: Exhibit solid credibility and confidence in Data & AI and Automation solution areas.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Domain Expertise: Knowledge and experience in the Finance Banking and Insurance industry domain.
Comprehensive Data & AI Market Expertise: Possess an extensive understanding of the Data & AI and Automation market enabling to consult and advise and rapidly establish reputation as a credible trusted advisor for our clients.
