Overview:
Location:Nellis AFB, NV
Work Schedule:The contractor may work 8-11 hour shifts between the hours of 0000-2359, no more than 40 hours per week from Monday through Saturday with an uncompensated 30 – 60-minute lunch break.
Pay:Between $140K/year - $155K/year

• Perform a full range of pharmacist procedures.
• Administer/prescribe prescription or non-prescription drugs according to established agreements or MTF protocols.
• Deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical services within the personnel, supply, and equipment capabilities of the facility.
• Counsel patients regarding appropriate use of medications.
• Consult with other healthcare providers (e.g., physicians, dietitians, nurses, physical therapists, etc.) about patient treatment needs or options.
• Review patient profiles at the time of dispensing in order to closely monitor medication therapy.
• Ensure prescription directions for use, dose, medication interactions, therapeutic duplications, or overlaps, allergy information, age specific dosage, and other pertinent data are appropriate for individual patients. Intervention with provider shall be make for noted discrepancy of above listed items.
• Compound medication as required
• Ensure accuracy of all pharmaceutical products prepared or processed by technical staff.
• Supervise inventory control of all pharmaceuticals in the pharmacy, especially scheduled pharmaceuticals, and ensure pharmacy security. Maintain appropriate records and security of all scheduled controlled substances according to applicable regulations.
• Contribute to a positive and efficient work environment and assist with assigning work for technical staff as needed.
• Perform accurate and timely prescription verification a volume comparable to peers.
• Perform quality control measures and reports as assigned.Qualifications:
Degree/Education:Doctoral degree in Pharmacy from a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE).
Certifications:HCW shall hold and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS). Certifications must be through American Heart Association or American Red Cross guidelines. Members must present proof of current certification(s). Computer-based training does not constitute fulfilling the training requirements. Must maintain currency at NO cost to the government
Experience:One year of professional pharmacy experience after graduation.
Licensure/Registration:Shall have and maintain a current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a pharmacist in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
