Job Summary
The Construction Project Manager 2 is responsible for proactively managing the overall operation and execution of Clauger Construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing timelines, budgets, teams, and client expectations while ensuring all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards. This role requires exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills, as well as deep knowledge of the construction industry.
Job Duties
1. Project Setup
a. Set up projects financial management systems including the project budget.
b. Establish insurance requirements of the project and submitting applications.
c. Communicate and evaluate the developed project specifications.
d. Distribute and general review of project drawings and documents.
e. Estimate, communicate, and plan for required field resources.
f. Manage and utilize various project management and communication software to meet project objectives.
g. Review and understand project specifications and drawings.
h. Assist in project meetings including kickoff meetings, design and control coordination, subcontractor and labor planning coordination, client meetings, and line break review, pump-down planning, and other employee safety meetings.
i. Project documentation and control: Submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, purchasing logs, and action item management.
j. Understand project contractual requirements and scope.
k. Secure construction permits for project (when applicable and required).
l. Responsible for meeting all project deliverables and tracking project objectives and assessing responsibility to associated parties internally and externally.
m. Lead and manage construction projects including planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery.
n. Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, schedule, cost estimates, and assist in resource allocation.
2. Purchasing
a. Bid, buyout and ensure accuracy of purchase orders and subcontracts.
b. Complete material takeoffs and budget vs. actual cost analysis.
c. Plan budget management, contract change orders, monthly project invoicing, monthly financial projection, and internal revenue transfers.
3. Project Management
a. Coordinate and manage project team to achieve all project deliverables.
b. Give clear scope and schedule management to field team.
c. Coordinate all other internal business unit scopes.
d. Run project meetings including kickoff meetings, design and control coordination, subcontractor and labor planning coordination, client meetings, and line break review, pump-down planning, and other employee safety meetings.
e. Project reporting duties include weekly project updates, labor tracking, schedule revisions, open cost and vendor invoicing, and monthly customer progress reports (frequency depending on customer contract).
f. Project closeout duties including punch list management, final record documents, operation and maintenance manuals/spare parts list, warranty statement and documents, substantial completion documents, general contract and subcontract lien releases, follow-up quality control meeting, and customer training.
g. Mentor and support junior project managers and field staff.
h. Communicate project status to stakeholders and executive leadership through reports and presentations.
Job Requirements
1. Minimum 6 years of experience in industrial mechanical systems (Refrigeration / Steam / Petrochemical / Etc.).
2. Proficient in cloud-based project management software.3. Proficient in MS Project or similar program.
4. Architectural, design, engineering, technical, or construction background is advantageous.
5. Read, analyze, and interpret architectural and engineering drawings is preferred.
6. Bachelorβs degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
7. Must be able to travel as needed, anticipated 30% travel.

9. Must comply with Clauger, OSHA, and site safety requirements.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
