Where you fit in:
We are looking for a Controller to develop accounting policies and oversee all financial procedures of our company. As a Controller, you'll monitor the Parsyl's financial status, review quarterly and annual budgets and manage accounting transactions. To be successful in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of Accounting Principles and experience with risk management. Ultimately, you'll make sure we comply with accounting regulations, maximize profits, and mitigate risks.
What you'll work on:

• Document, monitor and update accounting policies
• Review quarterly and annual budgets for all departments
• Analyze costs and profits
• Set and track financial KPIs
• Build risk assessment models to evaluate investments
• Report on financial status on a regular basis and create ad-hoc reports when needed
• Perform internal audits and assist with external audits
• Ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations
• Support with preparing materials for Board of Directors reports

Requirements
What we're looking for:

• BA/BBA/BS in Accounting or Finance
• 7+ years of experience as a Controller or similar role
• Professional License (CPA Preferred)
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and legislation
• Experience with cash management and risk assessment
• Strong knowledge of accounting software - specifically NetSuite

Bonus if you also have:

• MBA or MS in Accounting or Finance
• 10+ years of experience as a Controller or similar role
• Knowledge of the insurance industry
• Previous experience working in a tech start-up

• Market competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range of $100,000 - $130,000. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills and location.
