Where you fit in:
We are looking for a Controller to develop accounting policies and oversee all financial procedures of our company. As a Controller, you'll monitor the Parsyl's financial status, review quarterly and annual budgets and manage accounting transactions. To be successful in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of Accounting Principles and experience with risk management. Ultimately, you'll make sure we comply with accounting regulations, maximize profits, and mitigate risks.

We are looking for a Controller to develop accounting policies and oversee all financial procedures of our company. As a Controller, you'll monitor the Parsyl's financial status, review quarterly and annual budgets and manage accounting transactions. To be successful in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of Accounting Principles and experience with risk management. Ultimately, you'll make sure we comply with accounting regulations, maximize profits, and mitigate risks.
What you'll work on:
- Document, monitor and update accounting policies
- Review quarterly and annual budgets for all departments
- Analyze costs and profits
- Set and track financial KPIs
- Build risk assessment models to evaluate investments
- Report on financial status on a regular basis and create ad-hoc reports when needed
- Perform internal audits and assist with external audits
- Ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations
- Support with preparing materials for Board of Directors reports
Requirements
What we're looking for:
- BA/BBA/BS in Accounting or Finance
- 7+ years of experience as a Controller or similar role
- Professional License (CPA Preferred)
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and legislation
- Experience with cash management and risk assessment
- Strong knowledge of accounting software - specifically NetSuite
Bonus if you also have:
- MBA or MS in Accounting or Finance
- 10+ years of experience as a Controller or similar role
- Knowledge of the insurance industry
- Previous experience working in a tech start-up

- Market competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range of $100,000 - $130,000. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills and location.
