POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the preparation of timely, accurate, and complete financial statements and information; manage banking relationships; and, oversee and ensure that the financial obligations of the business are met.
We are opening this job to applicants in King County. This is a hybrid role with some in-office requirements in Redmond, WA.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
ยท Responsible for the timely preparation of operating, capital and major maintenance, and sources and uses of funds budgets for Board approval.
ยท Responsible for certain treasury management functions of the organization, including cash management and bank relationship management.
ยท Produce the quarterly and annual financial statements โ balance sheets, income statements, capital spending, and sources and uses of funds.
ยท Review, critique and integrate the financial reports provided by the property management company and ensure that they are timely, accurate and meet the needs of the business.
ยท Provides management reports to the Board to enable the Board to understand the business and make good decisions.
ยท Provide analytical support to the CEO and Director of Operations to evaluate opportunities, plan projects and track performance.
ยท Establish, maintain and make optimal use of bank relationships โ client services, cash management, and borrowing.
ยท Pay all business-related taxes and fees and ensure financial compliance with all laws.
ยท Ensure that all compensation and compensation-related payments are made on a timely basis.
ยท Ensure that all deeds and titles contain accurate legal descriptions of the property and the ownership and are securely stored and easily retrievable.
ยท Review annual property tax assessments, identify assessments for appeal, and appeal.
ยท Perform the A/R and A/P that falls outside of the scope of the property management company.
ยท Retain employee files and records and certain other Human Resources functions.
ยท Source and oversees employee benefit programs and manage relationships with program providers.
ยท Meet the needs of the unitholders and shareholders for financial and other information necessary for the preparation of financial statements, personal financial planning and the creation of wills, tax returns and other documents.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES
ยท Work collaboratively with the Director of Operations, Leasing Manager, and the Property Management Company.
ยท Support the CEO and Director of Operations in the development of property strategic business plans.
ยท Work cooperatively with the CEO, Director of Operations, and Leasing Manager to establish annual property valuations.
ยท Support the Leasing Manager in development of the annual leasing plan.
ยท Foster a collaborative, creative, results oriented culture.
QUALIFICATIONS
ยท CPA or CMA preferred.
ยท Education: Bachelorโs degree in business or accounting; MBA desirable.
ยท One to two yearsโ experience in public accounting and 7+ years accounting experience in the commercial real estate industry.
ยท Knowledge of commercial real estate accounting and CAM reconciliations.
ยท Knowledge of legal organization of businesses and real estate ownership entity structures.
ยท Knowledge of Yardi, Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
