The Opportunity. Aero Precision is looking for a Cost Accountant to join our finance department. You'll be responsible for performing cost analyses and preparing budget reports.

The Job. The Cost Accountant will collaborate with others in the finance department to provide financial and accounting support to both executives and department heads who establish goals and budgets for the organization. They will analyze manufacturing operations, equipment availability, and utilization. The Cost Accountant will maintain the cost accounting system and cost ledger while performing life cycle cost-benefit analysis. They will oversee annual physical inventory and analyze inventory valuations. They will create reports to advise on improving efficiency and reducing financial waste. The ideal candidate will understand the principles of financial accounting and how it can be used to create a budget.

Requirements

• Proven work as a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, Accountant, or similar role
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or CPA eligible
• Understanding of organizational accounting concepts
• Ability to prepare financial reports and give recommendations based on the available data
• Knowledge of relevant accounting software
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Problem-solving skills
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Strong technical aptitude in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
