About This Job

The main purpose of this job is to deliver statistical and/or machine learning solutions to clients of Enterprise Analytics and Business Intelligence in support of business strategic objectives.

Essential Functions

• Collaborate with others to understand the business problem
• Analyze data, build statistical, econometric, and/or machine learning models and assess their quality
• Design experiments and assess the results by monitoring model performance and making recommendations
• Communicate results and recommendations to senior management
• Identify opportunities to apply statistics to improve business performance
• Develop meaningful data visualizations using data science software
• Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

• Basic knowledge of key statistical and economic principles, including SAS or SQL programming skills
• Basic knowledge of SAS, R, Python, or similar statistical programming package
• Ability to leverage education and training opportunities to develop solutions
• Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
• Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics or similar quantitative field of study or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• 1+ year statistical analysis, machine learning, big data development, database, programming and/or project management related experience required
• Experience with logistic regression, decision trees, survival analysis, time series analysis, design of experiment, machine learning and other statistical techniques preferred
• Experience with relational databases preferred
• Experience with Hadoop and Big Data technologies preferred
