The team

Join our Pro team and start building the internet of money.

Kraken Pro team is responsible for everything to do with trading & markets across spot & futures. Lead and grow a distributed team of engineers building the next generation of Kraken Pro’s trading interface. You’ll be responsible for the technical direction product execution and engineering excellence of the UI layer that powers Kraken’s most advanced user experiences.

The opportunity

• Drive the design architecture and delivery of performant modular and accessible frontend systems.

• Partner closely with Product Design and Backend teams to shape and deliver on our product roadmap.

• Champion user experience through hands-on engagement with dogfooding feedback loops and usability improvements.

• Foster a culture of technical excellence ownership and collaboration within a globally distributed team.

• Mentor and develop engineers helping them grow technically and professionally.

• Guide initiatives that modernize our FE stack improve reliability and enhance performance at scale.

Skills you should HODL

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong focus on frontend or full-stack development.

• 3+ years of experience leading and mentoring engineers (4–8 people) in a distributed environment.

• Deep experience with modern FE frameworks (React TypeScript) and tooling (Webpack Vite etc.).

• Solid understanding of performance optimization accessibility and responsive UI design.

• Proven track record of collaborating effectively with Product Design and cross-functional teams.

• Passion for building delightful high-quality user experiences.

Nice to haves

• Previous experience in Trading and/or Fintech
