The BioProduction Group is one of the fastest growing businesses in the company, supporting developers and manufacturers of biological-based therapeutics and vaccines. With our portfolio of outstanding products that span the bioprocessing workflow from discovery through large-scale commercial production, our business is driving performance in bioprocessing through collaboration with our customers.

Within the Quality organization of the Chelmsford, MA facility, we are seeking an accomplished QC

HPLC Scientist who will be motivated by this exciting opportunity for an experienced Laboratory

Professional to support QC by performing FPLC/HPLC analyses on manufactured purification/polishing column resins.

You'll be a proven bench chemist with experience in solution preparation, instrumental analysis and data processing, bringing technical expertise and leadership to enhance our Quality Team.

What you will do

Perform simple and sophisticated FPLC/HPLC analyses

Keep detailed records of all work carried out and report results in a clear, timely and informative

manner.

Maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation and solve as needed.

Provide training in your area of expertise and foster a culture of learning.

Review laboratory operations and find opportunities for improvements to Quality related

process/procedures/documents

Review data for completeness and accuracy

Participate in Continuous Improvement in QC

How you will get here

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required

Bachelors or equivalent degree from accredited college/university in relevant scientific field preferred

Experience

3+ years of relevant laboratory experience / 1 year HPLC experience

Experience with chromatography systems and/or software is a plus

Experience with Downstream Purification of biologicals is valuable

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Ability to maintaining the testing schedule

Skilled in the use Liquid Chromatography, UV-Vis instruments

Awareness of Quality standard (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA, ICH) guidelines.

Proven record to complete project tasks with minimal direction

Flexibility to adapt to a multifaceted environment and lead activities to meet the needs of the business while maintaining a focus on quality

Familiarity with SAP, Agile, E1, LIMS or other electronic data/document management systems

Familiarity with continual process improvement practices such as Kaizen, Gemba, 3P, 5S and Standard Work

Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills with good attention to detail
